I was going to write a long, and drawn out review of Half Life 2, but I decided it would be best not to. There are loads of great reviews out there, and they all say what I would tell you anyway. Plus, this post has been sitting in my drafts folder for quite sometime.
This game, in one word, is perfect. The only disappointing part is when it ends, because you want more. The game takes you in like a really good book, you can’t stop playing… you need to keep going to see what happens to the characters you meet, the people you have saved, and the war you are fighting.
I have finished the game, but I certainly haven’t finished playing. I’m going to continue playing Half Life 2 for quite some time. Counter-strike, HL2 Deathmatch, and all sorts of user made mods will certainly extend the life of this game. But here’s a question. Do you think that HL2 will have the same following, for as long as the original? Or less?
