I've been experiencing some freezing, or slowdowns in my computer lately when I open some programs, namely Firefox and Outlook. It's like it's being jammed up or something. I've run a few things on my computer on a weekly, if not more often, basis including Ad Aware, Norton AntiVirus 2004, and of course a de-frag here and there. But I feel that it doesn't keep things up to speed as much as I would like.
The details of my computer are here, and as you can see my PC should be running quite well, but I feel it lags. What sort of things should I be doing that I'm already not doing? What sort of utilities (that aren't going to further bog down my PC) are out there to help me? Thanks to all your help.
Oh! Almost forgot, that sometimes when I minimize something, it slowly goes away like layer by horizontal layer, like a curtain slowly closing. Really annoying.
