Tonight I installed the latest version of Blocker which is a very handy PHP script that will block all the unwanted users from my website including and not limited to, spam-bots, abusive referrers, email scalping bots and abusive host names. I want to thank Ian for showing this great tool to me, as it answered a question I posed myself last week.
I was checking over my stats for the month, and was clicking to go to check out the different referrers I had that month, and started to notice that sites I have never been to, or have no link to me were appearing more often then real referrers. It was really starting to bother me, as I really had no idea what to do about it, or how to stop it. But now I know. Hopefully this will cut down on my spam.
