Ever since I began to study and develop my skills in the web standards realm, I have been trying to explain the ideals of a table-less to design to my friend Chad, who despite my best efforts doesn't seem to see the advantages to using a XHTML/CSS driven site. He recently expressed his real lack of understanding to web standards with this latest comment.

I don't claim to be an expert, and I nor will ever be one, but I think I know the advantages of web standards in web development. Of course, my site isn't the best example of a image heavy design, but my site does what I like it to, and I enjoy the layout. Of course, I have plans for the site to expand, maybe some dynamic develop, a new menu system, but these are all irrelevant to the argument. What I'm aiming for here is a discussion on the truthfulness to his statement, and I hope to get some responses from some much more respected people then I, who know exactly what they are talking about. Lets explain to Chad the advantages that web standards brings to the table.
