What is your refund policy?

I offer a 14-day money-back guarantee on all annual hosting plans. If you’re not satisfied within the first 14 days, you can request a full refund for the hosting service. Please note that one-time setup fees, such as the WordPress Kickstart service or SSH setup fee, are non-refundable as they cover time already spent on the service.

What payment methods do you accept?

We securely accept all major credit cards through our payment processor, Stripe. At checkout, you will have the option to choose your preferred payment method. All transactions are in Canadian dollars.

How long does it take to get my hosting set up?

Yes, we offer international shipping to selected countries. During the checkout process, you will be able to see if your country is eligible for shipping. Please note that additional customs fees or taxes may apply upon delivery, which are the responsibility of the recipient.

How do I get in touch for support?

For all hosting-related questions, support requests, and billing inquiries, please email me directly at jeremy@scootr.ca. In the future, a digital support ticket system may be implemented to maintain our quality customer service.

What is your support availability (SLA)?

As this is a personal service, support is handled directly by me. I aim to respond to all support inquiries within 24-48 business hours (Monday – Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM Central Time). This isn’t a 24/7 corporate call center, but you are getting support from the person who set up your service.

For community-based help, you are welcome to post questions in our optional Discord forum channel. While there is no official SLA for responses there, it’s a great place for users to help each other out. For any issues requiring my direct attention, please use email.

How do I manage my subscription?

You have full control over your subscription through a secure customer portal powered by Stripe. From the portal, you can update your billing information, change your payment method, view your invoice history, and upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your plan at any time. You will receive a link to your personal portal after your initial purchase.

Do you sell domain names?

No, I do not sell domain names directly. This helps keep your costs down and gives you full ownership and control over your domain. You can purchase your domain from any registrar you prefer (like GoDaddy, Namecheap, etc.). Once you’ve purchased your domain, I will provide you with the simple DNS settings (nameservers) you’ll need to point your domain to my hosting service.

How do I cancel my hosting plan?

You can cancel your hosting plan at any time directly through the customer portal. For annual plans, cancellations made after the initial 14-day refund period will not be prorated. Upon cancellation, your account and all associated data will be scheduled for deletion at the end of your billing period. Please ensure you have backed up all your data beforehand.
